It is the Administration of the Ensenada National Port System; constituted as an S.A. de C.V. of the parastatal sector with a concession title from the federal government and whose functions are to administer, supervise, control and promote goods, services and activities within the port area.

It operates with its own resources, achieving financial self-sufficiency as a result of revenues from concessions, port fees and services rendered.

The national port system is comprised of 113 ports and terminals, of which 16 are Federal Port Administrations, which report to the General Coordination of Ports and Merchant Marine; 5 State, 1 private and 1 administered by FONATUR, which report to the Ministry of Communications and Transportation.

The Port of Ensenada has two public docks, API 1 and API 2, the first with 220 linear meters and the second with 150 linear meters and 13.05 meters of official draft. In the area of public yards there are 81,000 m2 for storage of goods, of which 1,500 m2 are under shed and the rest in the open air; the services provided for maneuvering are provided by the operators Comercializadora Rivera, Giconsa Tramitadora del Pacifico S.A. de C.V.
