Contracts for the Provision of Port and Related Services

Requirements for port services contract in the Ports of Ensenada and El Sauzal

At the Ensenada National Port System Administration, we work to expedite procedures and offer guidance on the requirements to enter into a contract for the provision of port and related services with ASIPONA Ensenada.

The requirements are as follows:

If you are an individual

  • Original and copy of birth certificate
  • Original and copy of official identification (IFE or valid Mexican passport)

For legal entities

  • Copy of the duly certified copy of the Articles of Incorporation, registered in the Public Registry of Commerce.
  • Copy of official photo ID IFE or Mexican passport of the legal representative.
  • Power of attorney of the representative with faculties (acts of administration) to carry out the contract formalities
  • Copy of official identification with photo IFE or Mexican passport of the Representative or legal proxy

In addition to the above, you must request the application forms for the preparation of a contract and the Environmental Aspects Manifestation at ASIPONA's offices, in the reception area, or you may download them from the forms section.

Both forms must be duly completed and signed by the employer or legal representative.

  • Submit a copy of the registration with the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
  • Copy of registration in the federal taxpayers' registry RFC
  • Copy of the unique key of population registry CURP
  • Proof of training of the owner and staff (courses, certificate of profession, etc.) that will apply only in some cases.

For the period that a contract is signed, it must be presented at the signing of the contract:

  • Liability insurance for the vehicle and the service provider
  • Guarantee of compliance with contractual obligations (bond, certified check or cash) If a bond (guarantee) is applied, make it payable to Administración del Sistema Portuario Nacional Ensenada, S.A. de C.V.

Upon signing the contract, access credentials for personnel and vehicles must be requested from the security department.

To enter the Port it is necessary to have a credential.

Additional requirements applicable to contracts

In case of requesting a contract for hazardous waste management, flammable materials handling, fuel supply, extinguishers and others, the operations, safety or ecology area may request additional information.

When requesting a service that has not yet been provided in the Ports of Ensenada and El Sauzal, additional documentation will be required, according to the specific requirements, in order to establish operational and commercial conditions, for which you must go personally to ASIPONA's offices.

Extensions of contracts and agreements

In the case of extension agreements, you only need to fill out the application form.

In the case of modification agreements, both forms must be filled out to request an extension of the service to be provided.

  • Mooring ropes
  • Supply of drinking water by pipe and purified water in jugs
  • Garbage collection
  • Vessel provisioning
  • Ice supply
  • Network repair
  • Truck loading and unloading service of fishery products
  • Maneuvering services (loading/unloading, storage, stowage, stowage and hauling)
  • Afloat repairs (electrical and/or mechanical, and welding)
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Fuel supply
  • Operation of pump for marine product discharge
  • Carpentry, painting and polyurethane.
  • Refueling
  • Fire fighting equipment
  • Fumigation services
  • Refrigeration and air conditioning
