Storage of merchandise in the yards of Administración del Sistema Portuario Nacional Ensenada, S.A. de C.V.
With the purpose of providing general information to API users or clients who intend to store cabotage merchandise and/or foreign trade merchandise in the yards managed by ASIPONA, in the Ensenada port area, the following information is published:
Requirements
In order to carry out the storage of goods of national origin and/or foreign trade in the warehouses operated by the Administración Sistema Portuario Nacional Ensenada, the consignee or legal representative of the company must comply with the following:
The customs broker or consignee of the merchandise must submit to ASIPONA's Operations Department, at least 72 hours prior to storage, the Storage request form duly completed, attaching a copy of the bill of lading of the merchandise, in order to determine the availability of space as requested.
The form can be requested from the Operations Department at ASIPONA's offices, or by accessing ASIPONA's website, in the storage request section.
In the case of foreign trade goods, the shipping agent will be responsible for sending the information with the electronic manifests of the cargo to be stored to Bonded Warehouse No. 078 (in the case of imports, it must be transmitted 24 hours in advance and in the case of exports, it will be within 12 business hours, once the loading maneuvers have concluded), through the Integral Customs Automation System where they declare in detail the general data of the operation.
In the case of merchandise of national origin, the shipping agent must provide a copy of the bill of lading detailing the general data of the operation.
The maneuvering company hired by the user or client must submit to ASIPONA the report of operations at the bonded warehouse, in which it informs the proposed stowage plan for the stowage of the merchandise, at least 48 hours prior to the entry of the cargo. This requirement applies to ocean and cabotage traffic.
Response Time
The result of the analysis, to determine the feasibility of warehousing foreign trade goods, is notified to the client via e-mail within a period not exceeding 8 business hours.

There is NO cost.

Additional Information
- The term for the computation of the days of storage shall be counted as of the day on which the consignee receives the communication that the goods have entered the warehouse. For the purposes of complying with the provisions of Section V of Article 15 of the Customs Law, the consignee or consignee of the goods shall be notified of their entry into the bonded warehouse. The communication shall be made in person, by telegram, by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt or by courier companies with certified acknowledgment of receipt. In the event that the necessary information is not available to carry out the communication, it shall be made through the corresponding customs office, in accordance with article 46 of the Customs Law Regulations.
