ASIPONA Ensenada | Access to the Port

Port Access

Port access control is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Port Law and its Regulations, as well as the Port of Ensenada's Rules of Operation.

In order to authorize the entrance to the different users of the port, the following are considered:

Crewmembers of vessels

  • The company responsible for the vessel must submit to the Port Security Department a list of its crew and operating personnel indicating the persons authorized to bring vehicles into the port.
  • The persons listed in the list must identify themselves to the officials in charge of the entrance booths.

Service Providers and Port Assignee Companies

  • To have a valid contract for the rendering of services or partial assignment of rights.
  • All responsible companies must register all of their workers through the Puerto Inteligente Seguro System (PIS).
  • Company personnel must show the ASIPONA ENSENADA security personnel their Electronic Identity Document (DEI), which must be done through the Secure Intelligent Port System (Pis).

Temporary Visitors

  • The companies responsible for the eventual visits must process their permit through the Intelligent Secure Port System (PIS).
  • If the information provided is sufficient and appropriate, the officer in charge will record the entry in a logbook and give the person(s) a visitor's badge requesting official identification as a guarantee.
  • Upon leaving the port, the credential will be exchanged for a visitor's badge.

Scheduled Visits

  • The companies responsible for the scheduled visits must process their permit through the Intelligent Secure Port System (PIS).
  • The request must specifically state the reason for the visit, the date and time requested, the number of people attending, the person in charge of the group and, if possible, a description of the vehicles in which they will arrive.
  • Only visits that have been scheduled in advance will be attended.

All visitors to the port are subject to controls and supervision, and are required to comply with the safety and pollution prevention provisions applicable to the port.

All vehicles wishing to enter the Port Precinct must be registered in the vehicle module of the Puerto Inteligente Seguro (PIS) platform, and thus generate the Electronic Vehicle Document (DEV), which must be shown to ASIPONA surveillance personnel.

All persons, without exception, must carry a security vest and the Electronic Identity Document (DEI), which must be generated in the Secure Intelligent Port (PIS).
