For overland movement of cargo to and from the port, the three most important routes are the Tijuana-Ensenada highway and the federal highways Tijuana-Ensenada and Tecate-Ensenada. The highway is of high specifications (4 lanes and 2 bodies) and the largest cargo flows are transported through it. The three roads indicated are the basic links to communicate the Port with the main road network of the United States of America.
