Distances
The Port of Ensenada is located in the northwest of the Mexican Pacific, 110 km south of the border with California, United States. Its coordinates are 31º 51' North Latitude and 116º 38' West Longitude. It is connected to the North and South by Federal Highway No. 1 and to the East by Federal Highway No. 3.
Within a radius of more than 1,500 km, the main highways connect the port mainly with the cities of Tijuana, Tecate, Mexicali and Hermosillo in Mexico, and with the U.S. border cities of San Diego, Los Angeles, Tucson, Yuma and Phoenix in Arizona.
For overland movement of cargo to and from the port, the three most important routes are the Tijuana-Ensenada highway and the federal highways Tijuana-Ensenada and Tecate-Ensenada. The highway is of high specifications (4 lanes and 2 bodies) and the largest cargo flows handled are transported through it. The three roads indicated are the basic links to communicate the Port with the main highway network of the United States of America.
